Derangement of the Senses

derangement

Derangement of the Senses is a monthly fiction and poetry reading focusing on multimedia expressionism, people who don’t recount stories in a terrifying monotone, and incredible acts of literary dynamo. The event features literary-themed burlesque performances and live electronic music on laser harp. The reading is inspired by the proto-punk French poet Arthur Rimbaud, who asserted that THE PURPOSE OF LITERATURE IS TO FUCK YOU UP.
